Our young Boars Mid Sussex Youth League team have glided through the League Cup to take the trophy.
A 4-0 win over Broadbridge Heath U18s!
In front of a big crowd at Oakwood FC the boys did Roffey FC proud by beating a very strong Broadbridge Heath side in a convincing display. After a rather nervy first half, when Roffey managed to sneak ahead 1-0 with a goal from Team Captain Riley Morgan, the side came out in the second half with renewed vigour and took control of the match. Three second half goals from Lucas Medrow – who got onto a great through ball and finished superbly under the keeper; Mason Saunders – scoring a decisive penalty into the bottom corner; and a second goal, from Riley – a glancing header from the corner.
The Young Boars journey to the final saw them defeat Stone Cross Royals Navy U18, Southwick U18 and Three Bridges Youth U18.
